Luma Enginefor teachers

Learning apps for Muslim teachers and coaches

Your lessons, as an app your students work through.

I build it with you, from what you already teach.

The call is free. You tell me what you teach and where your students get stuck. Then you decide.

You speak to Yasser, who runs Luma Engine.

What I call a Sanad

What is a Sanad?

A Sanad is the learning app your students work through.

It puts your lessons in the order you teach them, with practice and progress for each student.

It is not an ijazah. Your ijazah and your teaching stay yours.

The word also means a chain of transmission in the tradition. I use it only as the name of the app. It gives no authority and no certificate to anyone.

If the word sits wrongly with you, tell me on the call. I would rather know.

What your student does

One lesson, one step at a time.

  1. Tap Watch, Practise, then Check yourself. Each step opens as a card, as your student would see it.
  2. Tap a letter to answer. You are told at once if it is right.
  3. The ring fills one third per finished step. That is how your student sees their progress.

ب ت ث

ba, ta, tha

Lesson 3 is done. Next: Lesson 4, ج ح خ (jeem, haa, khaa).

  • Lessons come in the order you teach them.
  • Each lesson ends with practice and a short check.
  • Your student can see how far they have got.

What goes into yours is decided with you.

Drag the slider. On the left is a teacher's plain notes. On the right is the same lesson as three steps in the app.

Lesson 3, ba ta tha

Same shape, the dots change it. Ba: one dot under. Ta: two on top. Tha: three on top.

Say each one out loud, then they repeat.

Quick test at the end? Which has three dots, which one is ta…

  1. WatchBa, ta, tha: your explanation of the dots, in your words

  2. PractiseMatch each letter to its name

  3. Check yourselfFive short questions on these three letters

Who this is for

For teachers whose students already learn from them.

You teach Muslims something real. For example:

  • Qur'an and tajweed
  • Arabic
  • Fiqh and Islamic studies
  • Classes for children
  • Classes for new Muslims
  • Fitness coaching
  • Wealth and business coaching

People already learn from you. They ask you the same questions again and again.

Who this may not be for

  • You teach free by conviction and want it to stay that way. This may not be for you, and that is a good reason.
  • You have no students yet. The app is built around people who already learn from you.
  • You want a general website. This is one learning app for your lessons.

Not sure? Book the call. I will tell you plainly if it is not a fit.

How it works

From call to launch, in four steps.

  1. Step one

    Book a call

15 minutes. You tell me what you teach and where your students get stuck. Together we sketch how your lessons would run in the app.

  2. Step two

    Sign the agreement

    This happens before we start.

  3. Step three

    I build it

You send your material and check what I make.

  4. Step four

    Launch

Your students get access to the app.

It takes some of your time. I will tell you how much before you sign.

The deal

The deal, in one line.

£0 to build. 50/50 revenue share, split automatically at point of sale, signed before we start.

I am paid from your sales, so I do well only when your students pay.

Ownership, how long it lasts, how you leave, refunds
Written in the agreement. You read it before you sign, and you can ask me about any of it on the call.
Where you sign
In your Luma Engine dashboard, before we start.

Nothing to pay and nothing to sign on the call.

What you control

Nothing religious goes out without your yes.

I add no religious content of my own.

Nothing religious reaches your students until you have read it and approved it.

The app is built around how you teach, in your words.

Being new

I have no teachers to show you yet, and I would rather say so.

No teacher has signed with me yet. There are no reviews, logos or results on this page. I will not write ones I have not earned.

With no track record, I should not ask you to pay first. So the build costs you nothing.

A note from Yasser

Assalamu alaikum.

I'm Yasser, a British Muslim, and I run Luma Engine on my own from the UK.

I use AI tools to help me build, and I check what comes out.

I would rather tell you this is not right for you than take on a build that will not work.

I read what you send me myself.

Write to me, or book a call.

FAQ

Questions teachers ask

What is a Sanad, and is it an ijazah?

No. A Sanad is a learning app. Your ijazah and your teaching stay yours. A Sanad is not an ijazah.

Do I pay anything?

£0 to build. The full deal is above.

What does 50/50 mean, exactly?

Half of the revenue is yours and half is mine. It is split automatically at the point of sale. The agreement is signed before we start.

I teach for free. Is this for me?

It may not be. This is for teachers who sell their lessons. If you teach free by conviction, keep it that way. You are welcome to book a call, and I will tell you plainly if it is a poor fit.

Who are you?

I'm Yasser, and I run Luma Engine. It is not a limited company.

Tell me what you teach.

On the call, you tell me what you teach and where your students get stuck. We sketch how it would run. Then you decide.

The call is free. The booking form asks for your name, your email and one question about your teaching.
